Amit Bhatia, aged 57, an award-winning social entrepreneur, is Founder of Aspire Circle (since 2007) and Aspire Impact (since 2020), focused on impact measurement and impact eco-system development. Amit is also an Independent Director on Whiteoak Capital AMC (a mutual fund), on SEBI-appointed Governing Council of NSE’s Social Stock Exchange, and on Geneva-headquartered global non-profit- GAIN (Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition).

Aspire Impact is Global South’s first standards-based Impact Measurement, Rating & Certification initiative. It’s 4P (Product, People, Planet & Policy) Impact Assessment Framework to assess Corporations, BFSI, and CSR/Non-Profits uses 40 market-validated Impact Standards and 150+ Key Performance Indicators, to award Green, Silver, Gold and Platinum Leaf ratings, enabling sector-agnostic Impact Comparisons. Since April 2020, Aspire Impact has served over 50 clients in India, across 130+ projects, clocking over 100,000 client hours. Aspire Impact’s SaaS platform, IKOO World v1.1, for DIY (Do it yourself) and assured ESG, Sustainability & Impact Assessments, was beta-released in Q3, 2025, with comparable ESG & impact benchmarking data for ~500 organizations.  

 Aspire Circle is a non-profit Trust that promotes enlightened social leadership. Founded in 2007, it builds and scales four impact communities through scholarships, fellowships, internships, and thought leadership (Impact Future Project or IFP). To date, Aspire Circle has granted 34 scholarships, admitted ~375 Fellows and engaged over ~400 CXOs as IFP leaders.

Formerly, Amit was Inaugural CEO of GSG Impact (G7’s Global Steering Group for Impact Investment) from 2017- 2020- an independent multilateral catalysing impact investment and entrepreneurship to benefit people and the planet. At GSG, Amit broadened the movement from 14 to 32 countries; grew its mandate from impact investment to impact economy; secured G20 recognition (Buenos Aires & Tokyo); deepened thought leadership; and, spurred powerful convenings with GSG Impact Summits in Chicago, Delhi & Buenos Aires, which attracted $1, $2.5 and $9 trillion of global AUM in 2017, 2018 and 2019 respectively. Amit was also Founding CEO of India’s Impact Investors Council (2014-2017) where he built “Brand India” for Impact Investing and grew inbound impact investments from USD 400mn (in 2013) to USD 1.1bn (in 2016). India now averages $5 billion of annual inbound impact investments. 

Amit quit a successful corporate career in 2007 to serve the social sector. He was Founding CEO of WNS Knowledge Services (2003-2007) which listed on NYSE with a $1bn IPO. He was also Founding Country Manager of FreeMarkets, Inc. (1999-2003) where be ushered B2B ecommerce securing 60% market share of e-sourcing with online reverse auctions in India; and, was Founder of McKinsey Knowledge Centre (1996-1999), India’s first KPO and created the foundation for India’s Knowledge Process Outsourcing industry. Prior to McKinsey, Amit spent time at American Express and in Equity Research (1991-1996). 

Amit studied in Delhi- Mount St. Mary’s High School for K-12; Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) for his Bachelor’s; Delhi School of Economics for his Masters’ with a Gold Medal; and, The Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of India (ICMAI). Amit qualified at National Eligibility Test (NET) to teach at SRCC and Venkateshwara College. Certified in Case Method with Harvard’s HBP, Amit has also been Faculty with Institute of Cost & Management
